Hi Ann, Wonderful service for us artists! Thank you!
Question: I read where you use non-toxic or minimally toxic oil paints. Could you please advise me the brands? I really want to move in this direction Also mediums I use Turpenoid and although it is odorless I have heard it is toxic I also have a dog I must protect She loves to sleep in my studio! Thanks Ben

I use only various oils and linseed oil, no mixing mediums. I paint while wearing a disposable paint overalls and vinyl gloves.

Hi Ann!
I heard about you from Kate Bradley in Memphis, Tn. She was giving a talk to Artist’sLink of which I am a part. Her talk was largely on finding your tribe a concept I’d never thought of before.
I need help. I am very gifted in many areas including teaching but, my self esteem and business sense needs an overhaul. My web site was made by a friend years ago and is pretty lame. I need to make an investment or find a designer here that would barter for one that works.
I actually have several tribes. Those who want to preserve a memory of an milestone in a life like a Bar Mitzvah or a birthday in a portrait. I also have a pet portrait business because I love animals. These preserve a memory, too. Especially when the beloved pet has died.
In my personal art I celebrate sensuality in nature. I have begun working again a bit on a series of a divine garden that part of the Dixon Gallery here. It is a formal English type one that has wonderful planters that are figurative and fountains that are animals, waterfoul, and amphibians.
I make giclees of my work which I sell. I also, have a Icons of Music genre that evolved from painting Gibson guitars with portraits of famous musicians for an event here called the Blues Ball. That got me a commission from a museum in Tennessee.
I need some advice and you sound like the perfect person to help me.
Thank you so much for your time.
Sincerely,
Jeanne

Hello Jeanne,
Thank you for reaching out!
I recommend booking a phone consult to see if we can get you pointed in the right direction and to determine if applying for the “Making Art/Making Money” course makes sense.
